About Us

East Cobb Hindu Heritage Association (ECHHA) was created by a group of parents that wanted to bring a Hindu Summer Camp to the East Cobb community. We started with a desire to educate and expose our kids to religion and heritage in a fun and engaging way. After the initial interest meeting held in September 2014, it was determined that we had enough parental support to move forward. Shortly after, ECHHA, the non-profit organization with 501 (c)(3) status was formed with our first Summer Camp held in June 2015.

Our mission is to cultivate Hindu heritage for our youth through cultural experiences and we do this through engaging campers and counselors in various activities such as prayer, religious games, skits, and lectures.

Our mission and logo capture our wish and desire for our Hindu youth. ECHHA, the acronym is a fitting name as it translates in Gujarati/Hindi to mean one’s wish, desire, or hope.

Our Unique approach is to provide a solid foundation for understanding our history, culture, and scripture and challenge youth to apply this knowledge in daily life. By offering engaging activities that demonstrates what it means to be Hindu, we encourage youth to be comfortable and proud of their Indian Hindu American identity
